New features added for easier bookmarks management

We have some new feature enhancements in your favorite online bookmarking tool. These are:

  • The first one has been requested so often. While we do have a provision to open any bookmark in the same window or a new window, users wanted to have a simplified way to set all of them to open in the same or new windows, specially when they had imported these. Now you can just head over to the profile section and specify your preference.
  • You can now collapse all groups in 1-click. If you think you have several groups open and are wanting to simplify the view, just collapse all groups and then open selectively.
  • You can also expand all the groups with 1-click. This is very useful when you are trying to locate a particular bookmark. Expand all the groups and press ctrl-F to search for your required bookmark.

I really hope you are enjoying the easyBM online bookmarking system and telling your friends and colleagues about it too. If you wish a certain feature were there, feel free to let me know by posting a comment here.

I love easybm – I’m a primary school teacher and have a *huge* collection of education resources on the web that I need to keep track of.

I think the only things on my “I wish easybm did that” list are :

1. The ability to split your home page across multiple pages as your list of groups starts to get large. So, for example, I’d love to have a “page” for personal groups, a different page for all my professional groups and another one for my school groups, with some simple navigation (eg tabs) across the top of my easybm page so that I could flick between them.

2. The other thing is that I know you make the point that easybm isn’t a social bookmarking site like Digg etc, but I’d love the ability to chose to share *some” of my bookmarks publicly without them having to log in. For me at school it would be great to have a “public” view of my easybm page which you didn’t have to login to get to, and so that when you added a bookmark you had the ability to mark it as “make public” and it would automatically appear on your “public” page.

Just some ideas next time you’re thinking about adding some features.
